Renaker has taken what was underutilised brownfield land within Manchester city centre to create a unique area through working with leading architect, SimpsonHaugh. We aim to develop an aspirational new neighbourhood, delivering high-quality, spacious homes and desirable amenities, where communities can thrive.

We are approximately 7 years into a 15-year masterplan. Progress is well underway to date with more than 3,000 new homes already delivered, 988 homes under construction, and over 2,500 in the pipeline.

We plan to create substantial public spaces improvements from green space to educational, and medical facilities, and the neighbourhood will also be connected via several new pedestrian and cycle pathways focused on creating sustainable travel routes for the local community. The total value of these improvements is in excess of £25 million.

Crown Street Primary School

We are delighted to have built a new primary school, named Crown Street Primary within the New Jackson neighbourhood. Crown Street Primary School is the first school to be built within the city centre in almost two decades and will accommodate up to 210 children by 2030, growing each year as the children progress through the year groups. Currently, the school offers 30 reception places and 24 pre-school places for the local community.

A new smoke-free public park at over 1 acre in size will be created, providing much-needed green space for residents and the local community. New Jackson Medical Centre

New Jackson Medical Centre at 8,000 sq ft is operated by the NHS and offers much-needed accessible primary health and care services for Manchester residents and the local community. The facility provides a wide range of community health services, along with ultrasound and dermatology services, and it is the first centre to open in the city centre since 2009. New Jackson Medical Centre houses three GP practices to cater for growing demand.
