Premium brand La Mer treated our Crown Street residents to an exclusive showcase of their festive gifting collection. Residents enjoyed the opportunity to explore La Mer’s luxurious product range, sample iconic skincare items and receive personalized advice from the brand’s expert team.

Green Screen Christmas Cards

Residents across New Jackson were invited to step into a magical holiday scene to create one-of-a-kind Christmas cards using green screen technology.

From cozy winter landscapes to sparkling festive backdrops, everyone had the chance to take home a personalized card, with whole families and even pets joining in the festive fun.

Three60 Residents’ Social

Our Three60 community gathered in the Residents’ Lounge for their inaugural social event, offering a fantastic opportunity to meet neighbors in a relaxed setting. A live DJ provided the perfect soundtrack for the evening, while guests tucked in to pizzas and antipasti platters from Salvi’s, along with drinks by Atomeca.

Perfume Workshop

Niche brand Kushbu Perfumery hosted an immersive Perfume Worksop which celebrated South Asian, East African and British culture through the art of scent. Participants were guided through a senses-led experience, building their fragrance knowledge and exploring the intricate chemistry behind perfumery to create a unique, signature fragrance.

Halloween at New Jackson

Spooky season at New Jackson brought a variety of fun-filled events for residents of all ages, including a Glowing Halloween Lantern Workshop, a Pumpkin Carving Competition, and a Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest for our fabulous furry friends.

The Blade Residents’ Social

Residents at The Blade gathered for an evening social event, creating the perfect opportunity to connect with neighbours and make new friends. Guests enjoyed delicious pizzas and antipasti platters provided by Salvis, along with drinks by Manchester Gin. A live DJ set the mood, ensuring an evening of fun, laughter and relaxation.

Ice Baths & Energising Breathwork Session

Forward (Manchester) Events came The Square to offer residents and the wider community the chance to experience the incredible benefits of an ice bath session. Building up to immersion with 30-minutes’ guided breathwork, participants began their Saturday morning with a burst of energy and mental clarity, benefitting from improved sleep, increased resilience, reduced stress and boosted immunity.

Live from the Grill 2024

Live from the Grill returned to New Jackson for its third year and proved as popular as ever, with a crowd of over 5000 descending on The Square across the weekend to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy some incredible food, drink and music.

Guests were spoilt for choice with Hawksmoor, Knights BBQ, Food Sorcery, Kitten and Chit N Chaat on the grills. Gooey brought the sweet dessert options with the return of their ice cream cart and Manchester’s Finest, The Spirit of Manchester Distillery and Salvi’s kept guests refreshed with beers, spritz and cocktails. Handpicked DJs provided the soundtrack on Saturday, while Sunday welcomed a collection of live music acts, curated by GigPig.

Children’s Summer Club

School was out and New Jackson’s younger residents were treated to a week-long program of world-class summer holiday activities, delivered by leading provider, FIFTH Movement. During these popular sessions, children explored their creativity, soothed their minds and learned new skills. A broad range of interests were catered for, from a street dance workshop, boxing class and martial arts class, to well-being and art workshops.

Photo-Editing Workshop

Expert tutors from Mako Create invited residents to delve into the art of photo editing with their fun, creative and hands-on workshop. Perfect for beginners, the workshop encouraged attendees to experiment with a variety of editing techniques, unleash their creativity and unlock new skills.

UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival

Residents from across the neighbourhood came together to form a dragon boat crew and compete in the 13th annual UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. Held at Media City, the event was a unique celebration of Chinese culture, featuring cultural performances, traditional music and typical Dragon Boat Festival foods. Demonstrating some true community spirit, our New Jackson Dragons finished in 5th place. Congratulations to the team!

Manchester Made Market

Brand new for 2024, Manchester Made Market debuted at New Jackson over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. This exciting two day event brought together a curated selection of over 30 of Manchester’s most talented artisans, food producers, designers and craftspeople. Shoppers immersed themselves in local music by local artists and enjoyed delicious food and drink from a lineup of the region’s freshest vendors, including The Wild Grill, Food Sorcery, Medlock Canteen and Neighbourhood Brew. Manchester Made Market will return to New Jackson in December.

Code A Drone Workshop

Our second session with Mako Create was an unforgettable and exciting workshop for those residents curious about coding. With no previous experience required, participants took control of a mini-drone, learning to make it take off, fly, execute turns and land safely. Residents put their new-found skills to the test, completing flying challenges and competing for points.

Stop Motion Lego Animation Workshop

We teamed up with Mako Create for a fun, creative and hands-on LEGO stop-motion animation workshop for residents of all ages. From conceptualising and building to shooting and editing, attendees mastered every step of crafting their own stop-motion masterpiece, bringing their LEGO characters to life in a YouTube published film.

Ramadan Break Fast Foodie Social

New Jackson residents were invited to indulge in the magic of Ramadan at Food Sorcery’s Break Fast Foodie Social. This drop-in session took residents on a culinary journey, experiencing the rich flavours and traditions of Ramadan, blending authentic tastes with a modern twist. Attendees had the opportunity to get hands-on with specially crafted dishes, share stories and meet new neighbours.

Lunar New Year Foodie Social

New Jackson residents gathered at Food Sorcery Deansgate Square to make and enjoy two authentic dishes in celebration of Lunar New Year. Under the expert guidance of professional chefs, the two groups crafted fresh Summer Rolls and Wor Tip dumplings, then stayed behind to savour their creations while getting to know their neighbours.
