Creating sustainable neighbourhoods for the long term.
The creation of sustainable neighbourhoods for the long term, which include high-quality homes and amenities catering to the needs of the residents and the local community, is important to us. We are proud to be developing much-needed infrastructure to enable people to call the city centre their home.
Learning and Education
We are delighted to be building Crown Street Primary School. The school is the first primary school to be built within the city centre in almost two decades, and it will accommodate 210 children, and 26 nursery places for the local community.
We have worked closely with Manchester City Council to find an appropriate location within the neighbourhood, located next to Elizabeth Tower and The Blade. Design work for the school has involved close collaboration with design consultants, and input from the Education Authority and school operator, Laurus Trust. We are looking forward to delivering the build of the school ready for its opening in Summer 2024.

New Jackson will have extensive high-quality public spaces for all to enjoy. A new smoke-free public park over 1 acre in size will be created, providing much-needed green space for residents and the local community. It will also comprise of a children’s play area providing a safe space for children to enjoy.
The neighbourhood will be connected via cycle pathways and walkways encouraging ‘green’ travel. A riverside walkway has already been created along the River Medlock connecting old Deansgate with First Street cultural area, and adjoins the city’s only riverside square at Deansgate Square.
